Mine stopped working a few weeks ago. I'm thinking damp has got into the electrics somewhere? Instead of the beep beep beep, I get a drawn out monotone.
Anyone else had that?
It has done it once before, but then mysteriously fixed itself (as these cars are prone to do!) which is why I suspected damp.

Mine often think there's something there when there isn't, but never the other way around (thankfully). I reckon it's just dirt or whatever getting in the sensor. It usually sorts itself out fairly quickly.

Or maybe it's related to the famous crazy dashboard electronics... silly

Something wrong there. You should get a single tone out of them as soon as you engage reverse, this tells you they're working.

Should that be towbar, or heaven forbid, caravan?

Wasn't there something going back a while about these cars not being type approved for towbars? Don't see why though!!
Could of course be totally wrong.

Its a imported Ute so i don't think it applies. The cars aren't approved for tow-bars i don't think although i could be wrong.

I would check the reverse lights are all working-soemtimes the switch in the gear box gets worn or dirty or in the case of my van doesnt work half the time then check the fuses , the sensor bleeper and box are hidden behind the offside panel in the back but unfortunately to get to this you will need to remove the rear seats it may be posible just to reach just by removing the bench seat and putting your arm up in there i know this because i found it by accident when fitting new speakers the other day

Correct I think it was Paul from Wortec who said that was because there was no auto level function for the headlights.

all fuses in the car checked. (well ones from both fuse boxes) all lights working. so i would guess its a switch or a loose cable.. ill phone the garage tomorrow morning as its still under warranty and get them to ass around for me. lol

Had a similar problem on mine. On my monaro, there is a switch. Now to find it is going to be hard to explain. If you stand with the boot open, on the left hand side, just underneath the rear parcel shelf there should possibly be a switch. if you stick your head under there you should be able to see it. Not sure if it is the same on newer monaro's or not, but might help you out.

I had a similar problem when we filled the boot up with stuff, and somehow it turned it off.
Let me know how you go..
