Right ill be as specific as i its a 6.0 vxr monaro

im getting some money in feb which will allow me to spend circa £1500 on the monaro. i dont drive it mega quick and find the brakes perfectly adequate for my driving style so AP's are not on the horizon. I would like to go FI in the future but thats for 2010!

Ive seen the powerflow exhaust for £500 and am aware i could probably get a custom one for that sort of price. it is my intention to get the silencer valves fitted also so i can go from fairly loud to mega loud! happy to wire them in just being a switch or if the fitter would do it cheaply then fine.

Headers. I dont know which ones will fit the car with the exhaust in the standard position, but im guessing if i get a custom one made the headers can be fitted and the exhaust run from it. anyone know where i can get headers from reasonable spec but reasonable price?

essentially i would like to get headers, exhaust, K+N (seen from £60) and a remap (circa £250 at rapid GB) for around the £1500 mark which i think is entirely possible some advise would be appreciated though

Oh and does the like of Rapid GB give warranties on their remaps? or do Monkfish? ie they map it and the engine blows in a few months? they cover it?

thanks all

I got a quote from a local stainless fabricator for 1200 quid for custom headers - involved redoing cat pipes etc as well to use my sports cats from the Miltek exhaust, think Roger wants around 1400 for Wortec, can't remember what Mark at Rapid was quoting for Di Filipo and with changes in currency rates etc I suspect it will have changed anyway. Think you're being too optimistic in hoping to get that lot for 1500. BTW you can get the filter for around 30-40 quid inc carriage from Ebay if you do a worldwide search.

exhaust £500 £700 with cutouts
filter £50
remap £250

thats £800-£1000 leaves £500-700 for some headers i see them on ebay australia for a little over £150 - £200!

Powerflow is like a universal chain of exhausts, using their parts etc.

There are a couple over here...and all I can say is that they are complete and utter dung.

Seeing as i have the same car as you. You can get the headers and 2 sport 100 cell cats with both oxygen sensor extension wires delivered to you door from OZ for £1050 (via air fright)the you have to pay the vat a month or so later which was £200
K&N filter from most places for £50
I think the cat back from OZ was another £700 plus that vat.
I had my custom exhaust made and fitted for £500 and then had the new front pipes and cats to the new already fitted cat back system.
Then the remap was done.
Take it to monkfish and they can fit and remap it after for you.

headers from www.capa.com.au/exhaust_complete_holden.htm

I think you will need to email or call them and as for the headers for a VZ LS2

Justin's a good guy to ask for.

ps. Get the stanless coated headers aswell like mine, it helps performance and little and doesnt rust.

Ill take a few pictures if you want or you could see then if your going to Ace Cafe on the 25th

Hope this helps and then you could have a whole system for £2000 with the remap.
