As a recent owner I'm still getting to know my new car, but I've noticed something. I've got HSV branded AP brakes on mine and the grooves on all the discs as you look at them appear to swirl round in a forwards direction...except the passenger side rear which swirls backwards. Does this matter? Will it explode? Should I be concerned?
I have to say they seem to work fine. Stops lovely, no hint of pull or judder.
Advice please learned ones!

The direction of external grooves is unimportant.

The direction of the internal curved vanes is important.

oddly...manufacturers seem to do external grooves one way...then the other....then back the other way.

The fronts were 'handed' the rears are the same either side, whether HSV or AP branded they are the same. AP dont make a left/right specific rear disc.

Vxr brakes are not handed. Our aftermarket ones are handed but only the grooves on the outside.
