That just makes an engine swap a whole new ball game!!!!
What do you think Rich?

Does that make it easier to sell, say, an LS2 from a VXR8? ;-)
Yes. But mainly if you wanted to install an LS3 or LS7 you would have to dismantle the engine take out the 58X reluctor wheel and put in a 24x to suit the E40 ECU.
This device makes it plug and play, you don't even have to change the hall sensor.
I think Roger may be buying a few of these in future and it makes an LS3 transplant very easy, from very awkward.
PS Yes for the VXR8 with the E38 ECU

Put simply, it means that you can fit any LS series engine to your Monaro more easily. LS7 for you? Or maybe an LS9?

Which is better?

got to be talking circa £8-10k for a conversion though arnt you?
For most peoples requirements its more cost effective to modify what you have. An ls7 makes 500bhp which is not difficult to achieve.
would be nice to say its a 7 litre
people are blown away when i say i drive a 6 litre every day and i get mid 20mpg

Yeah I bet. It's hammered into people through the media that big motor=environmental sin. It's plainly not the case, and if our government would tax vehicles based on a combination of their average MPG figures and average emissions then we might all be surprised...
I'm looking forward to getting my '72 HQ out there, being a big roots blown motor with plenty torque and a relatively tall rear gear I am hoping to be in the 20s on the open road at a steady pace. When I tell people what HP and torque it made and that it's 6.3 litre they just won't believe it's possible.
