One is about 2.5x bigger than the other one.
04 models are large, 05+ are rubbish.

Hence why I think the 04 VXR is the best smile

Due to relocation of fuel tank for US market. Aka Pontiac GTO

Personally I prefer the 6ltr with the small boot to the small booted one with a small engine. If Im going to Tescos or the garden centre then I take the work hack for a big boot.
However I do agree there is a signifigant difference in size, some of us dont mind though, we make up for it in other areas!

and some of us dont need such a big engine to compensate for shortcomings elsewhere, we can get away with a bigger boot

I can't affort the petrol to drive it too far so a small boot is fine.

Dont forget the big boot vxr is roughly £200 a year cheaper on road tax than a small boot VXR.

I love my big boot problem with the tank being under the car though is you cant have a dual exit exhaust hence why mine is being moved to spare wheel.

Approx 370 litres vs 245 litres, so actually more like 0.5x larger.

We manage to carry 2 weeks holiday luggage for a family of 4 without any problems.

Yeah but half of the rest is un-useable as the space around the tank is pretty useless for anything except towels and blankets. You get the 14" wide bit in front and thats it.

Anyway, the best boot is the vxr8 which is 498L from memory.

UPDATED STYLING ? is that the new term for made to conform to US standards or do you mean nostrils and twin exit pipes, lets not forget piano black trim YUK, and strangely I would still love a 6.0 VXR, Damn.
