Sorry I'm in a rush (hot date wink ) and don't have time to search. Car is in for service today and I asked him to look at diff as it isn't working properly. What is the recommended oil/friction modifier to make it happy again?

Cheers
Tim

Its a misture of friction modifier and oil, no specific levels just add FM till the diff works quietly or oil if it does not lockup..

I think the method is fill with oil, add small amount of friction mod and then test drive car. If it's locking up too much (clanking/banging noise during low-speed manoeuvres) then add more friction mod. Amount of friction mod needed varies from car to car. One to three bottles I think I heard.

The factory just seem to stick in heaps of the friction mod and as a result the diff is quiet, but never locks up.

Ah ok, so if I want it to work properly just change the oil and don't add any FM?

Yeah ok but what I meant was I'm more interested in having the LSD do what it should than a bit of noise. I have run spool diffs in road cars before so I can live with a bit of skipping etc wink

I'll change the oil and see what happens, if it's too bad I'll add some FM (yeah ok just like you suggested above thumbup )
