Just in the process of replacing all the badges but just wanted to know if the steering wheel badge was stick on or was it some sort of clip before i start messing around with it.

Cheers

I recall that it's an airbag replacement issue (if you're keen to retain the Holden integrity). Otherwise there's (allegedly) a sticker that'll fit nicely over the griffin thing.

You could probably prise the griffin off, but this could be very harzardous to your health. I reckon someone somewhere has already tried this, but they're either being quiet about it or they're still in hospital.

yeah I prised the Vauxhall disc out the centre leaving the surrounding metal disc and replaced it with a gel sticky badge as well. Was well and truly stuck down though and took a bit of force using a blade, wrecked the badge taking it out as its just a thin disc.

maxmc2 - I think you'll find DevilyellowCV8 'dismantled' the steering wheel air bag cover but was very nervous for days after, lol.
Seriously, I got a gel type Holden Lion badge & de-greased the Griffin badge & just stuck it directly over the top...the adhesive that comes with the Holden bage (on mine) wasn't very good so I added a spot of superglue...no probs, you can't see the join!!

Hmmm, yes dismantling, not funny. But I now have the same gel badge as you Paul. De-greased the Griffin badge as you did and this sticks on just fine. Peeled up once, pushed back down and now stays down without glue. Got mine from LSV a few years back.

PLEASE don't say you would have ordered a FULL airbag system just to change the badge on the cover??

Or am I missing something?
