Loud and louder......just louder is ok for me. How much extra fuel is she liable to get through on a longer run?im currently seeing about 29mpg on the motorway at around 75-80mph (of course thats not allowing for speedo correction
)
I get that out of my VXR600 so stop worrying and buy it.... or mine so I can get the Carbon VXR8

It has been mentioned before on this forum that supercharged cars generally have better fuel comsumption than a standard car at cruise speeds on a run (mainly due to more precise tuning). Doubt if that would be true though, when the 'heavy foot' is employed

Maybe not but I will use less petrol because I get there so much quicker...

I like your logicSpoken to the trader and as far as I know somebody made an offer on it yesterday and he's just waiting for finance agreement.......that shot my idea down then...oh well, you win some you loose some! Looks like im gonna be going for a little more n/a tuning to mine now, headers, cams and remap, sod the charger (for now)

After having a great day at the Ace yesterday, I find out this morning that the redundancy axe is hanging over me (and others). So there could well be another VXR 500 coming on the market. Basically the same spec as this one on here but an 06/56 so still under Vx warranty (whatever that is worth) with 15,000 miles. I should know my fate by next week so I'll let you know what I'm doing.
Now where's that cider!!

Now where's that cider!!

heres hoping its not coming up for sale then! I'd enquired about the other one as well on Sat but was told they had loads of enquiries and at least 2 people going to see it on Sunday. Due to level of interest and fact they were "selling it for a client" they werent that keen on discussing trade-in deals either.
