Did any Holdens or Monaros get fitted with sunroofs ??

Just sold a 2 seater open top car and selling my Astra convertible so I think i'm going to miss a bit of sun if I convert to a tin top !!

Was it an extra offered at all ??

You could get a factory sun roof in Australia, but not in the UK.
Don't even think about having one fitted, they all reduce the amount of headroom and look nasty, the car's value will be even worse. Save that sort of thing for the Max Power type....

I have asked this question before & was told it reduced the structural strength of the car which is why it was not an option with HSV cars.

Agreed. im 6'5 and struggle fitting in most cars comfortably but if they have a sunroof i just need to forget it.. even with the monaro seat flat on the floor i have very little head room.. so i would be bu**ered if they had a sunroof.

Rich just loves his R8's. You dont have enough boot space "should have had a VXR8". No room in the back "should have got a VXR8" Struggle to get in the back of your Monaro "buy a VXR8" Not enough head room "you need a VXR8"

Headroom and making sure it doesn't leak when wet would be the two main problems.

6 foot 7 and the headroom's fine and the boot's great and I'd rather be mistaken for a calibra than an astra I had "nice Mondeo" once!

Monaro aint great for headroom I must agree - even at a mere 6ft I regularly bash my head of the roof at the drivers side window when going round corners, damn near knocked myself out one day. Still at least it doesnt look like a Vectra and the handbrake doesnt look like its on stilts when its on. As a rule I dont like sunroofs on cars - just another route for water to find its way into the cabin, if you want fresh air open the window and listen to the rumble from the exhaust.

I'm 6" 4" and don't have a problem at all. The seat is lowered all the way down though. Is yours????

I'm 6'4" with a long back and the Monaro still fits fine. I just remember to duck when getting out!
