noise when pulling away at a roundabout
Discussion
Try some low speed manouvering and cornering in a car park, if it makes any noises then its most likely the LSD locking a little to much. Add some friction modifier to it and it all goes quiet again. Mine did the same not long ago and in this cold weather it may be the oil in the diff is thicker than normal and causing the plates to bind more.
If it happens in a straight line then try driving gently forwards and backwards. If you get a noticeable thunk each time you take up the drive in the new direction, you have some backlash somewhere. This could be loose diff mounts or worn bushes, or wear inside the transmission. If you do find backlash you would be advised to find and fix the problem as soon as possible and drive round it until then, because these shock loads can do a lot of damage to the transmission if you're rough with it.

I was pulling away from a roundabout yesterday , when i raised the clutch it made a thud noise , this is the second time its happened , anyone else had this?
If it sounds like someone hitting the chassis with a lump hammer , it could be a clunky diff, were you driving on a motorway/straight line for a long time before you got to the roundabout?
Once its happened you will not be able to get it to replicate again (in a car park/service station etc) as once it's "unstuck" it will need several miles of straight line driving to lock up again. if it keeps doing it (ie replicable) get it looked at straight away as probably not the diff....
friction modifier is the solution - ask one of the independants advertising on here for some...
