My CV8 has disconnected one of its power steering hoses and peed the fluid all over the drive. Easy enough to re connect but is the hydraulic fluid just any old stuff or does the Monaro need anything special?

Just off out to get my fingers dirty, back in a mo...

TIA!

Std dextron trans fluid will do the job.
The nice red stuff.

Standard power steering fluid, nothing special. Think I refilled mine with some Slick 50 PS fluid when I had the rack off.

Thanks everyone. Got the red stuff now. Is there any kind of bleeding process when putting it in or should I just fill up the resrevoir and fire up?

The rack self-bleeds. Just fill up the reservoir to max and fire up the engine. Give the wheel a few turns lock to lock and re-check the levels and topup if needed.
