Had my Std VXR Monaro for over a year now. Got the usual urges to give it more power but coming from an EVO the Ro is a bit wobbly, vague and fidgety, I want to tighten things up a bit for the road without spending thousands, best recomendations appreciated.
Once the handling is sorted I can then get the power.

The man you need to talk to is Roger of the Fish. (ie) Monkfish.

He has all the bits and pieces you need to get it running on rails.

And a demonstrator for you to drive with all the bits you need on it so you can try it out.

I too had a similar thought about mine (VXR8). Would prefer it to be a little stiffer round the bends etc, but heard the lower springs and coil overs just make it look lower! Not sure if that's true or not....help?

You dont need to replace the springs, or lower it to improve handling. Give Roger a bell.

Think I will when the weather gets better. It would seem all roads lead to Mr Fish in the big bore VX world.

I've got an 05 VXR Monaro. I found that a quick rack and poly bushes (front and rear) make the world of difference. The car feels 'smaller' on the road. Four wheel alignment and toe-in mods also help sharpen things up. All mods available from Monkfish...

as above - lowering the car on its own can make things worse.

I reckon this is the order of effectiveness:
1. Pedders spring and damper lowering kit.
2. Pedders road response kit.
3. Pedders quick rack

I've done all three and the biggest difference was having the car lower and stiffer. Saying that, mine was a CV8 which was like driving a blancmange....

I'd get the diff working too. Helps the way the car behaves under power.

Rapid GB have my ex Monkfish Suspension forsale (well he did a few weeks ago) and then either get Roger to set it up or Mark got mine done recently including corner weighting and then your done.

Roger setup mine on standard suspension a few years ago before all the mods and it transformed the standard car.

The set was from your green UTE so not sure what it will fit, Roger.

Roger, was springs and dampers (fixed), lower and stiffer but would go over speed humps easy, unlike what I have done now.
