Got round to connecting my blackberry up to the laptop today and found these hiding away ...

First two are me in a washed (not often enough) 'Ro .. black on black with grey smoked windows ..... no badges all round.

See, my shiny arse

Post removal of the skirts, but before wax oyl. All surfaces were washed down, dried with a compressor and wire brushed clean before application.

Masking has begun, wanted to make sure that the hidden areas were well coated

After the first pass, baked on too.

Wheels on ......

After shots, nice a shiny and water tight.

HId before fitting on the dining table, not much to them. 15 minute job, easy.

After fitting ... white!

Compared to before .... yellow!

The uderside of the car is coated, cost around £100 in materials, took a day. Took the heat shields off and covered every nook and cranny of the underside. Also made sure that behind the sills took a good coating too, that always seems to go on my cars, FTO and Glanza have also had the same treatment.

Anyone (raggyman?) in the North east is more than welcome to come to mine and use the ramps, they've so far been used by 15+ Yank V8s owners and Jap car owners to do the same.

I'm using this kit ....

www.hids4u.co.uk/product.php?productid=77

Ordered Monday arrive Wednesday, took roughly 20 minutes to fit.

Ordered some LED bulbs too (see my other post, use search for LED and HID) to remove the yellow shine from the side lights.

I will happily fit anyone HID kit in the North East, I have a heated garage, kettle with fridge, PS2 and Laptop in the garage should you get bored.

Happy to help fellow members, I could also fit them if you live anywhere near Leeds or Hook ... I gets around me!

I am no expert but it looks like your brake pads are not big enough for your brake disks.

The car looks great otherwise.

Only got the commodore now to sort out. Was going to give it a bit of a splash around to sort out. Do really like those ramps that is for sure, they are really handy. Will have to have a meet some time again up here. Think will have to be on a tuesday Noose?

Good pics, awesome set of ramps. What material did you use for the underseal, and where from, if it's not a trade secret. Is it waxoyl or something generic?

Just used cans of waxoyl, heated them up a little with the space heater to help application, a good was of the areas, dry them with the space heater also brush them down to give a clean surface.

Missed the first comment about what materials I'd used.

Materials I used were ...

Gas for space heater
masking tape
sand paper
wire brush
cans of waxoyl

tea bags and sugar

I did exactly that, new super bright rears, new side light bulbs, indicators and rear plate lights.

My previous post (use search for HID and LED and my name) and you'll find the part numbers there.....

The cans I bought were industrial size UBER cans, they were aerosol so I used them, just heated them to get the best application.

They coated the car really well

Did a search it brings up the topic then when click on it takes me straight to the forum main page and not the thread itself! Not got a link by any chance have you?

With the inidcator LED's did you have to fit resistors to them for the correct flash rate?

I have fitted the indicators and I still don't have a flash issue, however I did buy the relay to plug into the fuse box, however it won't fit as my fuse box is different size to what was expected.

I will try and find the link

here goes

www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=646405&f=69&h=27

and these were the bulbs
Although I think I may need some more, will get details at a later date, still waiting for 4 to arrive as they were out of stock.
