Here we go again

A neighbour stopped me yesterday and enquired as to what I thought of my VXR8. After a bit of a chat he went on to say that he was picking up his brand new 6.2l R8 on Wednesday.
The Guy is a lot younger than me so I thought I would be cheeky and ask what he paid. He quite openly replied that he had paid, and I don't think he was telling porkies, wait for it,




£26k...... Monaro fiasco all over again. Must say though I'm not surprised.

Manual or Auto? Is it definately an LS3, because there are a number of dealers selling unregistered R8's as 'brand new' models and people assuming they are 6.2.

Hmm, if it is an LS3 thats an awsome price!
Hopefully loads more sell.. more parts availability..

I see zero point buying new, unless you have too much money and need to waste some, so in fact with 6L's under £20k he got ripped off

Just done a spot of detective work and you guessed right. It is in fact a manual LS2 6.0 litre.
How do you find your LS3 model now that they have changed the gearbox. Has that noisy/clanky piece of c..p now gone for good. I notice you have experience of both models of VXR8.
