Windscreen replacement

I will be looking at a car which may need its front screen replacing-is this something Autoglass can do? Is there likely to be any difficulty in obtaining a new screen?

Yes and no in that order. Much to my amazement, mine was done the next day!

On no account even think about using RAC Autowindscreens. I had a crack in the screen a couple of years back, courtesy of Orkney Islands Councils unique and woefully inadequate method of road maintenance. As the car was insured with Norwich Union, they insisted that the repair should be done by RAC Auto Windscreens, one of their subsidiaries. After a ridiculous period of time, where RAC passed it to NU and NU to RAC, RAC Auto Windscreens, after sending the wrong screen once, finally said that you cannot get replacement screens for Monaros! Autoglass sent one up from Inverness within 3 days, and it was the right one!
