Bonnie are you looking to upgrade to a CAI kit or just a panel filter to go in yr stock airbox... if the later why as Ive never seen an improvement in performance from just a filter... better getting the whole kit!Smell

Ok. Do i just call you to order one? will you send it out and how much are they?
Do K&N do an oil filter.? If so is it worth getting? (go easy on me if they dont. I'm thick)

Mel, Just give us a call
They are 49.95 each, or i can do you a 50 mile old Green (basically identical, different manufacturer) for £25. Cant speak for the oil filters, never tried.

I have. The other thing is you never have to buy another paper filter again.

Seat of your pants or official dyno result?
In my (little narrow minded experience), if dyno results vary anywhere between 0 and lets say 5% on any run, how can you record a benefit, unless you run many times?
I thought airflow was only SIGNIFICANTLY improved using K&N style filters at max air flow/WOT applications?
I believe there is a reason half the pages of "Max Power" Mag are full of adverts for induction kits and filters, willing boy racers on to spend money to get more HP out of a 1.1 fiesta - Easy to fit, easy to buy, easy to sell.
Please correct me if i'm talking out my youknowwhat, I'd like to know exactly what benefits these filters do give to a standard engine. (serious question)
Correct only near/at WOT.
Best way to check if you have a restriction is to log intake pressure. If its less than atmospheric at WOT, then you have an intake restriction.
It could be throttle, intake opening, intake tract or filter.
In all my experience the stock intake tract is no good and even stock represents a restriction. Hence why good gains are found with an otrcai.
Stock intake is at least 10*C over ambient as well, so not only do you lose with airflow you also lose with heat.
Maybe Gareth can comment as he can log the difference between filters with efilive and tell us if there is any pressure change.
(ie) Pointless, get an otrcai if you really want performance.
