Hi all im new to the Monaro world!!!!!! happy to be in the V8 club. i have a question for the more ling term monaro servers what sort of exhaust is reccomended?
Ive heard you have to keep the X pipe in there or low down torque goes hope to get some help fast

Lots of options for exhausts... as already mentioned Wortec is a proven system. Others have gone with Milltek, or even had their own fabricated.... don't forget to tune after fitting tho.

If you already have an X pipe you must already have an after market exhaust as the factory fitted one does'nt have one it has a resonator type muffler box

Are you sure. I'm convinced that the standard system does have a x-over. Still think that the Wortec is the best after-market system. Plenty of roar without any drone!

standard system with reonator


inside resonator



the standard system does look like it has a H pipe behind the resonator but i believe this is a dummy and does'nt crossover.

Vauxhall did offer a upgrade but i think this was a Milltek which had an H pipe

No its not the Black one form sheffield i had a look at ot but it was in sum sort of a crash bumper and door where dodgy looking.
I was going to get one custom made for it, but i cant find any good exhaust fabricators that dont just do 106 Gti idont fancy taking it to halfords for a exhaust if you get me!!! i will get sum pics n soon as possible
