Im old
Im Hairless
I really couldn't care less

Got a' ro
I got a 'ro

My lungs are stuffed
I'm always out of puff

I got a 'ro
But i've got a 'ro

My legs are skinny
My misses wants a mini

I'd have a 'ro
I got a 'ro

This poem is sh*t
I'm a useless old git

but i got a 'ro
My big old 'ro.

LET'S DRIVE PEOPLE!

Hi mel and Everyone,

I live in a little village called Hopton which is near Diss. Moved here from West London in'88. I didn't reply sooner coz I went out for a spank. Did my first little burnout today too. Yippee.

Re:SimonV8ster,

I have had a few issues with it since I bought, I took it to kings lynn to get service and they told me it was undriveable because track rod end was knackered. They wanted 200 squids to repair. Then they said it needed new steering rack - 900 squids. Then they said it needed Gearbox sealent coz gearbox doesn't have gasket but uses chewing gum or something - 1000 squids. I says NO! and drove orf. Took to vaux in diss and using there special webbed fingers and big bulging eyes, they says nuffink to bad so I says 'ow much. Then they says 35 squids. I says nice one, Fanx! Got a geezer to fit track rod end which 'e reckons took 45 mins, and cost 44 squids. Then me leaves it in front of someone's gate and they, wiv there big mole mitts, puts a dent in me wing. TOSSE*! Haven't got it repaired yet but will next month. I don't know if i'm used to it or if I am flooring it to early (in revs) it pulls hard but not hard enough. When the guy I got it from put his foot down I swear my vision blurred. I can't recreate that when I drive. Maybe i'm just a ponce and not pressing 'ard enough coz the throttle has such a long throw. Still mighty powerful though. My girlfriends dad has a Lotus Carlton and it was he who took me to duxford where I saw my first 'ro. So I have him to thank for being able to buy and drive one of the purdiest cars on the rud. ROOOAAAAAR!

Sounds like you need a proper cam in there, stock is about 320rwhp, a decent cam and exhaust/intake should hit 400rwhp. Or you can get a girly supercharger for a little more inconsistent seasonally adjusted power. Either way, take ride with a couple of the blokes on the dyno day in a couple of weeks or at the strip day. Ask loads of questions etc and Im sure you will come up with a solution to your power problems. Plenty of performance shops will be happy to take your money. Or you can go down a DIY angle. The solution is more air in the engine each induction stroke.

Thanks for your reply ringram. Don't get me wrong they are very powerful cars, i'll probably never be able to get anything that has this sort of performance for price ever again. I would love to have it supercharged because of that lovely whine but the price is SO far out of budget at the moment. It does pull hard between 3500 and 6000 revs and pootling along at 800 revs in 4th is no problem. Everyone talked about the 3 pipe mod on my old vectra to kill the horrible flatspot at 3000 revs. Would a more open air intake like the over the radiator type make for a more rapid throttle response? It seems reasonably cheap and there is a lot of talk about them on here. Is it worth the money or is it just the beginning of the mod route. Maybe I should have a day out and go and see Mr. Monkfish.

A remap (£400.00ish) will greatly improve the throttle response.
