What's the basic cost for a supercharger and fitting on an 04 CV8? What are the options?

cheers

Loads of options.

Harrop, PWR, Maggnusson and thats just the positive displacement stuff, 122, 112 and tvs1900 rotors as well.

Then there is centrifugal stuff for more of a turbo experience with increasing boost over RPM

Try wortec/monkfish, rapidgb, wpuk for price options. Sometimes one of them will have a second hand setup at a good price.

I don`t think I`ve ever seen you use so many superchargy type words without throwing in link words like crap, cam and stroker...

Thanks. Monkfish, Wortec, Rapid GB, none have prices on their websites - am interested in a ballpark figure.

If you go PD (Harrop or Maggie) you`ll need an intercooler which ups the cost, but like Rich says there`s always a deal just round the corner. Best bet is to keep in touch with the companys that fit these products so you are in with a shout when something comes up.

PD all in second hand I`d guess at about £4000.00
Centri a Quarter to a half that.
Drive both before you buy, they are totally different.

(That`s second hand, new add £2000.00 to each item min)

Its never the cost of just the supercharger. Then there's the intercooler, uprated exhaust to assist the extra airflow, possibly heads. Then you'd need to uprate the brakes to AP's or similar. Suspension would also be a good idea and Ripshifter and diff and on and on. Not all of them necessary but you'll find 95% of the guys on here that have taken the SC route have chosen to continue as above. With the power a SC brings, car stability is essential. Either that or they've gotten the Mod bug and now have credit card bills the size of a small country
