idle on a 04 cv8

my monaro idles a around 900 rpm hot, is this the norm? (thought they would idle lower being a big v8)
on tickover it also feels like it missing every now and then, is this a trait of the ls1?
sorry for the bone questions but its been bugging me!

Idle speed sounds about right. I thought mine was a bit fast when I got it too. As for the other thing, dunno, but then mines an LS2

If the idle rocks the car and you detect what you think is a gentle misfire, don't worry.....I belive thats normal..well mine does it anyway.

well mine does - LS1. Seems to be like a misfire but i think its down to the firing order iirc
