Awesome tyres and the grip and handling they can give is sometimes breathtaking (especially when you know what the car handles like with stanadard road tyres). They have hard sidewals though so UK roads mean its a bumpy ride and I have heard reports they work better with lighter cars. I've used on Kit Car and TVR Chimera so can't comment on use with Monaro.

Stevieturbo likes them, I think he said he ran near the same time as with his drag radials.
They are on my "to purchase" list as soon as I get things sorted and ready to head to the drag strip.

They do a 295x19 smile

I only used them in Denmark, Elvington and Woodbridge.

Generally speaking, grip is very good. Although on a prepped surface, ive no doubt the drag radials would be better. But the DR's arent road legal here.

As a road tyre, also very good, and they seem to be lasting quite well. Although in standing water etc....be very careful.

Damp surfaces dont seem to be a problem though. I'd have no hesitation buying more when mine are done.

Not mine sir. Mine has half the power of my Monaro, but weighs a third. The reason for the post was to illustrate that 888s are a tyre that certainly suits light cars, but not necessarily heavy ones.

Im not 100% sure how many miles I have on mine, but I think its around 2000, and both front and rears are still perfectly legal.

Now that might not sound like a lot.....but normal rear tyres were only lasting me about 3000 miles before being illegal, and offered virtually no grip.

So I can only say I am impressed so far. I dont honestly see me getting the likes of 5k from them though, although some people on other forums would say they can get more on various cars.

I tried some Kumho's before the 888's and due to their tread pattern, they were foul of the law within about 1500 miles or less, despite not having reached the tread markers yet.
