Hey guys. Just want to pick your experiences with Monaro VXR's.

The oil pressure gauge in the top gauge cluster on the centre console... what should the VXR's LS2 engine be making in terms of oil pressure.

The gauge has markings for 3 and 5... which I assume are in PSI. Mine sits on or a fraction under or over the 3 mark at idle and driving - hovering around 3.

Is this correct? AKA - healthy?

Cheers all. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kyle.

The units on 2005+ vxr's are in Bar. 1 bar = 14.5 psi. 2004 vxr's have oil pressure guages in psi. Rule of thumb used to be 40 psi at idle, then +5 psi per 1000 revs until the relief opens inside the oil pump, usually about 60 psi maximum

hope this helps

Sounds normal to me - cold it's just above 3 bar, warm it's just below.
