Is that for a stock 2004 CV8 or 2005 CV8?
My 04 CV8 when stock would not near that time. Somewhere in the 15's is more likely.

I find those figures quite disappointing for such a powerful car.

Isn't a 10 year old M3 and a 335d (remapped) capable of low 13's?

Guess the Monaro isn't able to put all of it's power down at the start.

Its all in the gearing! Traction is a problem granted, but its the very tall gearing that kills it.

M3's will do high 13's - remapped 335's will do silly fast times ie low 13 sec easy! they are not to be messed with really on the road or strip. I went up against one at the pod and even regular 12.4 qtrs were only just enough to see him off!

The 329 BHP and tall geared CV8 puts in a respectable time but yes the 397BHP VXR and VXR8 are a little disappointing.

Turbo cars always seem to do better suggesting their claimed BHP is more honest and a little tighter waste gate of course gives a little more poke.

Don't forget the Monaro is hampered by a slow manual gearbox where as the Germans use modern autos.
