Seen as though it was an El Scorchio weekend... I got around to washing the Monaro VXR, taking it for a spirited drive and taking a few pictures of it whilst out and about. I am a new member and as promised in my initial introductory thread, here are some pictures of the new addition... so here goes...

Let me know what you all think.

The Beauty & The Beast.

Cheers all.

Kyle.

Very nice mate I bet it can fairly shift with the charger.

PS, your power steering fluid looks low. Might just be the angle of the pic though.

I'm a little confused. Car is wearing VXR500 badges, but I was under the impression that the VXR500's were Harrop s/c on LS2 but non-intercooled.
Was I wrong? :/

Hey guys. Thanks for all of your replies.

To be honest, I do not think that this is a "genuine" VXR 500. As far as I have gathered, Monkfish fitted all of the parts to it a little while back at circa 20k miles. Currently on 29k miles. So as much as I would love to join the VXR 500 register... probably best that I didn't. I have to admit though, the "500" badges did have me going as well - looks totally "genuine".

I will have to check on the power steering fluid level, not sure myself, but see what you mean from the look of the picture. One thing that I haven't checked yet.

The supercharger really is a quality bit of kit. I have been used to very high power Japanese turbocharged cars... but the way in which the supercharger delivers the power is phenominal. Not only that, but it just seems too perfect in all areas... as though these engines and cars were "meant" to have these chargers and modifications strapped onto them!

LMAO at some of the replies... cannot agree more.

I had to include pictures taken of the car and the fiance/missus together - in my eyes they sum up the phrase "The Beauty and The Beast" without words very effectively.

Cracking looking car. I've had my quicksilver beast for 14 months now and I do love it to bits, but I must admit, if I did it all over again I'd have held out for a black one. They just look so damn mean

OK from a female perspective here it goes....... "1" Mazda RX7 I could not stretch my legs, my hair would mess up every time I exited the car. "2" Honda Integra TYPE R where I could not put my lippy on without it smudging due to the hard suspension. "3" Skyline GTR that gave me whiplash. "4" Moraro wow what a great buy, I can sit back relax, stretch my legs, and apply lippy as there is a mirror on the passenger side. lol

Good choice babes x

LMAO... that will be "the one" in the pictures on the bonnet with the cracking set of bonnet vents.
