Thinking about the next motor and wondered if anyone down under has seen or laid hands on either of the above spec between them is fairly close but quite a hike on price

Ive seen a few in the rides section on ls1.com.au

Personally if you are importing Id go with the SS model, unless you arnt going to add any mods at all, in which case the HSV would come with better brakes and an LS3 etc.

Mate of mine was looking at the HSV wagon recently but ended up buying a Calais wagon, 6.0 auto with full luxury spec, heavily discounted (almost $30K less than the HSV yikes )

We were in a similar position but not in the market for a wagon here in NZ a couple of weeks ago. (There is not as much space in there as you think due to that sloping roofline) I couldn't justify the price difference between a Clubsport and an SSV sedan - as they discounted the SSV by over $18,0000. So brand new car on the road for $52,000 (19,000 pounds) It was the last one they had in Ignition - not my favourite colour but at that price it's growing on me!!!!

Hi Roger, no I had to sell the Maloo as the towing capacity wasn't enough!! Had to go 4x4 to get over that problem. Being without a V8 was no fun, so we got the SSV!!! Matt

Pretty sure I have mentioned it before, the wagons have the same floorpan as the sedans. If it was lury I was after I would get the Calais V wagon or the SS-V wagon.
The wagons are very popular down here, see loads of them.
