Nah, I've driven alongside several TVR owners and I thought one of them might give me a V8 nod but the miserable bastards don't even bat an eyelid. Maybe it's a TVR owner thing old farts!

I got more nods from motorcyclists who seem to love it.

I once pulled up in a petrol station a couple of pumps away from a police Volvo and was two places behind the BiB in the queue in the kiosk. He looked at me, then at my Monaro, back at me, then gave a very subtle nod and smile.

Driving through Bishop's Stortford this morning, picked up tail, a guy in a new Awdi TT followed for a while. When I tickled the pedal as I pulled away at the next roundabout he gave me the arm out the window with the thumb and pinkie.

Coming back from Castle Comb a few months ago I was behind one of those big Ford lightning things, the one that JC reviewed on Top Gear. We pull along side each other and he winds down his drivers window and we just have a chat for a few minutes about giving two fingers to the green bunch. Had a lovely chat, both revved the engines and didnt even realise we'd got a fairly substantial queue of traffic behind us

Had a mostly leisurely drive home from Norwich today. Had a little run near a DB9. I "think" he was surprised that he couldn't keep up!
Had a nod from a couple of non-V8 drivers though in both directions.

Had a wino (or "street drinker" as the politically correct prefer to call winos in Bristol) ask "What sort of car is that mate?", this morning. When I told him he said "Well, it's bloody lovely."

I ought to go and wash it actually, it's covered with rook-poo at the moment.
