Having not only had a beautiful daughter today, I was also lucky enough to have my car delivered back from picadors with the next set of mods!

Black Wheels and Wortec switch for the exhaust..

Looks good mate! I'm assuming they are the standard 20" HSV alloys? Did you buy them black or get Picador to sort the coating? Do you know if its powder coated or 2pac or whatever?

The only reason I asked is that on my R8 Carbon they were black powder coated and the coating is surpisingly soft and marks/scratches easily. I got them stripped and 2pac applied, seems much tougher, but they guy didnt do a fantastic job.

Therefore I may get them done again somewhere or was pondering on getting these instead:

Breyton Race GTS Black
http://www.breyton-export.com/imagecatalogue/image...

So, firstly did you buy 'em already coated or pay Picador or someone to get them done?

Secondly does anyone know the offset for the VXR8 so I can figure out whether the Breyton would fit or not.

I fired an e-mail to Monkfish but if someone here knows, would be great.

Cheers mate,

Standard 19"s as didn't want to add to unsprung weight....painted by Picadors as the wheels were scuffed when bought car and they agreed to refurb and paint.

Offset for VXR8 is wacky 45 front 52 Rear 120PCD- so difficult finding staggered wheels that fit.

Clearing the calipers is the tricky bit on the VXR8. The spokes have to arc past them.

Phil, I'm assuming you've had the windows tinted. What tint did you go for and from A or B pillar back?

Hello mate it is (5% light transmission) Limo Black for rear window/rear passenger/quarter and (70% light) smoke for front passenger windows

OH YES!

Running it on a base tune at the mo as tweaking is pointless as I am already near limit for stock internals.....no point wasting three year warranty just yet! This year will be mainly handling and weight reduction without losing to much practicality as its my daily drive.

yeah, as money is tight thats why I'm currently looking to sort suspension / handling etc. What power upgrade you looking at next year finances allowing!? Forged internals / 12psi or something different?

Might go for the 12psi but probably wont run forged till nearer the end of warranty Wortec are devloping some electronic suspension circa £3000 i think but having ridden in their test car it is worth every penny....

The Wortec suspension sounds interesting! Do you know if its similar technology to the magnetic ride control offered by GM/HSV etc?

Maybe one of the Wortec boys can comment on what it will give over the Pedders coilover setup and out of interest over the MRC stuff.

Not sure, but I know that you can program 5 levels of stiffness(eg road/drag/track etc) and change with the press of a button.
