Not really as I actually bough it today. Trouble is the Ro is now the daily drive till I pick the BMW up which could be troublesome for my licence.

What happened to the Merc? Nice car the M5, one of my favourite BMWs. Am I right in thinking it only does 19mpg?

Merc was just not me... to slow. Also I am hoping for more than 19mpg on the trudge up to work and back at 70mph! The Ro does over 22 for that.

I nearly bought one and an average of 19mpg is what I remember, about the same as an RS6. Still a great car though mate, well done.

Plenty of M5's out there Bonnie... and when you read up about vanos issues and such like they are not actually that scary. My Ro will still demolish the M5 in performance although to be fair it is bog stock......... at the moment!

Jamies gone back to a supra now and a very nice one too, even if it does look pretty stock

As you know Roger the Supra replaced the Monaro, ive been so busy with work ive not had time to get another car to replace the M3 yet (i have a a Nissan Navara pick up as my daily driver) but am now looking again, may well get another E39 M5 myself as i loved my last one.
