Looks like he's had a run in with the dashboard. He'll straighten out with a tug.

He is a she thankyou! I think she was a bit miffed that I woke her up to take her out... not really an outdoor dog is our Tinker.

B&C - I like the black rather than silver dash bits!

Yeah, piano black, i like it too. I was driving at night and my son thought there was water running down the Dash, it looks really shiney
I didnt realise there were three different types. I think Stig has the Carbon style.

Agree with the above much prefer the piano black over the silver, few people have made comments on mine about how it would look better black and seeing the pics it definately does!

coz piano black is a major pain in the ass to keep smudge free, never liked it on any car interior I've seen it on. Like the carbon effect on the 04 cv8 and the silver but wouldnt have one with the piano black. Dashboards are full of buttons and switches that need fingers to operate, fingers leave greasy marks - bad combo for piano black plastics unless you carry wipes everywhere you go.

If ever there's a finger print on the piano black trim it wipes of very easily with a bit of tissue, or sleeve. I cant really say that I've ever seen any marks on mine. It always looks shiny, so no pain in the arse here. There are no buttons on the PB trim so i don't see why you'd need to touch it. I don't.

The main downside to the Black trim in these cars is that they scratch very easily and no matter how soft a cloth you use, they can leave swirl marks which show up pretty badly in very sunny conditions.

Agree with Mel, they do not generally get too grubby - its only a small strip and you really don't need to put your hands on it...it does wipe clean very easy - I keep a demister pad in the car for the odd buff now and then...

not seen this myself, my pad seems to work quite well, but then again we don't see much sun around here.....where've you been driving DYCV8?

We had a lovely sunny bank holiday up here in North Wales ty! No rain but plenty of bl**dy holidaymakers..

Main problem in my car is the boss and her handbag. Scuffed the centre console but I used some cutting paste and it's brought it back up. iirc the trim is spray painted and not moulded in that colour.

Nothing on mine. No swirl marks or scratches, just a shiny black trim
