Paint

i was wondering if any one on here could help me.

im trying to get hold of either a touch up pen or a spray can of paint for my monaro. i have tried VX but there bloody useless.

i have an imperial Blue CV8.

need the paint as i have the famous flaking handles and its out of warranty

thoughts ideas and general help please.

The paint code should be on the ID plate on the top of the radiator support panel right hand front of engine bay. My old 2003 car had a different code for Phantom Black to my older 2000 car but they were identical. I was told that Holden had gone to the European numbers in between 2000 and 2003. I can only guess it might be 938J or 987K. Don't use these numbers until you have checked under the bonnet!
Head off to a paint sellers. I am sure they would be able to mix a can of it up for you.

I've seen a few questions like this on here, if you can't get holden touch up paints through VX (they should carry them for cars they import and sell...) I'd be happy to do a batch buy for a group and send them over.

What Vauxhall dealer did you try ?? I tried a normal local one but then they said they couldn't even see any Monaro part numbers so it had to be a Monaro dealer.

Its Impulse blue I think your after too.

You are not far from my neck of the woods - it may be worth trying A R Davies in Baldock, they will put any colour in an aerosol can. The cans they supply have a rather better spray head than the Halfords or Vauxhall variety and you can get a very decent finish. I think they open on Saturday too.

i was thinking of my old car colour when i orginal posted. but question is still the same.

i know baldock well. think ill have a pop up there this weekend. Thanks for the info.

i did try my local one and the nearest Monaro dealer and the parts department was not very helpful at all. so sodem lol
