+1 Try a cam like above smile
Easy 60rwhp NA so FI should be more.
You may find how weak the pistons are eventually, then you are into forged engines, fuel systems etc.

NA will make more power with less fuel than a SC and if you have to go forged eventually anyway one wonders why that was not done in the first place and therefore an increase in displacement.. Oh hang on thats what I did.

Moral of the story, work out what power you want first then go directly there without wasting time and money in the middle. Hence drive a few setups first.

Possible with your supercharger. Combined with some engine mods www.monkfishperformance.co.uk/forgedinternalsmonarovxr8.html a good clutch and a decent fuel system and you will be there.

Roger just had a look biglaugh next year forged I think! I might be missing the point, but having looked at the headers am I right in thinking that just headers and cats will be £2000?

Errr, no. That is an upgrade price from sport pac to performance pac and includes re-mapping. You have however, identified a hole in our website - no headers page!!!!! Im on it

under 3k you'd be looking at a cam upgrade, fitted I don't think you'd get a set of heads with valvetrain uprades unless you did it yourself as a decent set of heads will cost around 2-2.5k by the time you get them shipped to UK. If you were serious about eventually going forged you're almost as well buying a stroker engine prebuilt and selling your old one as ringram did - speak to him for more info on the way he did it.

Yeah engine swap cost me about £5k. Plus other bits like otrcai, headers etc.
If you are forging the engine you would be metally insane not to use a stroker crank instead of stock throw. Especially if you are after more power.
These guys have a very good reputation http://www.sdparts.com/categories/lsgeniiigenivper...
You can sell your old engine off and swap parts over like sumps etc.

something like a 224/224 114lsa is a good call for a supercharged car for some extra power and from what ringrams told me in the past wont harm your emissions too much either, or your idle for that matter..

You dont need a stroker for what you are proposing

Yeah, pay once and do it properly otherwise it gets expensive. 700fwhp on an LS2 is a new cam and clutch @ 12psi.
700rwhp = 850fwhp = about £7-10k. As you can see, you are getting into diminishing returns.

I've just gone the latter route. Don't underestimate the amount of time, money and patience required in a big build. I'm sure Harry and Jez will agree.
