East Anglia Meet (Big Crowds Not Expected :( )

This thread has derived from "Where are the Monaro owners?.. The thread started as a bit of fun but has turned out to be bigger than expected... If there is anybody interested in a local meet then drop your name on here (Open exclusively to Monaro and VXR8 owners and partners to make the crowd worth while )... Date and time to be confirmed depending on response...

The proposed venue is the Holiday Inn Ipswich Road Norwich, have a few drinks and possibly a bite to eat, if anybody is interested in a few more good room rates can be arranged via the good lady wife...

We will definitely be at Snetterton for the BTCC!!! Should be good this year as the wifes involvement with the touring cars will be practically nil so spectating is the agenda of the day ƒº Though we might be able to set something up at the Holiday Inn where the main teams will be staying¡K

Hi I'm in the north essex area, am keen to meet other drvers of the mighty monaro. I'm often in Norwich....family crap. A meet up sounds cool, can you give any idea of poss dates- work commitments often get in the way of my plans. Also would you be planning to meet up before the BTCC Snetterton on the day?

If you need a hotel in the Norwich area i could always enquire with my missus, the only problem is that they get very full BTCC weekends as its normally full with the touring car teams (VX racing and RAC BMW etc), though a good Saturday night to be had if you can get in there as we have done before ourselves...

We'll be there on the Sunday. Will hopefully be in the VXRonline parking and will probably aim to get there between 8:30 and 9:00.

Never been to Snetterton before....any tips on where's the best place to view from?

Im hoping to be in the VXR parking too so should see you there... As its so flat at Snetterton you have to have a little bit of a walk about, its a fast circuit and usually with plenty of action...

Got my VXR car pass for snetter's today.. Rocklander's, you got yours? Anyone else going and have a pass. Convoy, etc.

Yep, got our ticket today too. If we can get there in time we'll join the VXR convoy from Thetford, if not we'll just go straight to the circuit.

The meet point is at Thetford just off the A11 in a Sainsburys carpark there is also a McDonalds that opens at 06.00.

I know some of you guys are travelling on Sunday but if you prefer a hotel in Norwich this Saturday night for the Snetterton BTCC on Sunday let me know. VXR and various other touring car teams will also staying there so could be a good night before the big day... There are a small amount of rooms left so be quick if you want one... Hotel is 20 - 25 minutes from the circuit... Wifey will sort a very good rate for this this forum...
