Just take a look at some of Marks Worskhop stuff from Australia

IMO for responsive, usable big power, turbos are not the way to go on these cars. And auto's are for Yanks or old people lol.

here is one example

Hasnt Harry already completed the above requirement!?

Me personally take the coupe 4 idea from Oz, manual transmission, 7 litre turbo charged, ceramic brakes, as many panels as possible replaced with carbon fibre, make it a 2 seat only car, wider arches front and rear (nothing daft) 20' alloys, full titanium exhaust and manifolds and a much improved interior quality wise. Cant think of much else!

what I already have. It's cost me a fortune but will be exactly as I want it. Slick gear gear change with freight train power. About twice as fast as anything you are likely to meet on the road.

front and rear bushes
improve the steering, quick rack, smaller steering wheel, lower the assistance from power steering to improve feel
increase toe in to speed up turn in
plong a harrop diff cooler on to brace the back end
strip the car of all the weighty crap - seats replaced with race seats, ditch the rears.
ditch the air con
rip shifter
remove carpets and sound proofing
ditch the horrible alloys and use the cv8 ones
ditch the body jewellry, return to how holden intended
well I say that, front (subtle) splitter, rear bumper with improved dynamics for ground effect
Engine? Leave as it is, the car cannot usably handle more power other than for straight line heroes.

Essentially lighten it as much as possible and tighten up the handling

biggrin yep. Go for power if you want to brag to your mates down tbe pub or strip and lighten as much as possible if you want to make the car faster on the road. Anyone can do 180 in a straight line

Lightening etc can improve agility but will remove some comforts. Unless you are shedding lots of weight, and use the car at a track to make use of that weight reduction, its a waste of money IMO ( and weight reduction costs a lot of money )

....anyone can do 180mph ??? I dont think thats true.

Either way, its no fun with no power taking 6 weeks and 100 miles to get to 180mph. Its better fun when it takes a few seconds, and a few hundred yards.
