Guys, a mate has just bought an Audi 4.2 A8 which is fitted with nitros, he's stripping it off and I've suggested advertising on here, would any of you drag racers be interested?

Why did he take it off, so long as its set up well it should be fine. My old mate (RIP) had about 250hp pumping into an RS6 4.2 lump and it was fine, he drove it very hard to!

was the 4.2 still in the Audi? If so surprised the gearbox didnt blow up every week on it!

He did blow one box and audi did it under warentee but after that it seemed ok. I think his frequent trips to the pod and full Nos hit off the line did the first box. I remember it crabing sideways once when he did a full hit from around 20mph nin front of me! its also the only thing that used to keep up with me without issue.
