My Written Off Car On Ebay....What To Do?
Discussion
Right guys, need a bit of advice as not sure how to deal with this.
As some of you may know I had a accident back in december last year where my car unfortunetly got written off

I see now however it is on sale on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-VAUXHALL-MONARO-5-8-V8-...
Now two things really,
1. I know the milage wasn't 28000 miles as it says in the advert, it was over 36000. I have the documents to prove it. Now I understand they may have sourced a new engine for it, but I didn't feel the engine was that badly damaged as it managed to move under it's on power and onto the back of the recovery truck. So I feel he's telling a porkie pie there.
2. Is he duty bound to say that it was an insurance right off or that it was previously involved in an accident?
I wanted to ask you guys on here as I didn't want to find it at a Monaro meet and tell the owner that he bought a wrote off car without knowing it.
So what should I do? Ring him up and ask him a few questions about the car and see if he's truthful or not? And if not report him to someone?

anyone paying 15.5k for what is effectively an 04 CV8 in todays market can have mine with 26k on the clock, similar cars going for 10-11k tops all the time. looking at his feedback it seems he sells/breaks cars - I'd question him on the "full history" and the mileage - doesnt matter if he swaps the engine the mileage goes with the car I thought?

Yep you are right the mileage goes with the car not the engine thats in it!
I'm in the damaged repairable business and with the light damage on your car and the type and value of the car its possible the car has been sold by the insurance as "not listed as cat D or C" often happens with cars like this. Basically means when you HPI it its totally clean. However it’s possibly had a millage "correction"? Maybe the last service disappeared!!!!
My ro is nearly repaired so excited like a kid at Christmas!
