Looking at members car photo's at the drag day and ones for sale there seems to be a mix of how people show their car

Vauxhall Badges
Holden Badges
No Badges

Whats peoples favourite and why ?

My current thinking is debadged to give the car more mystique or maybe Holden ones to show the cars true roots and again confuse people

I've always been a Vauxhall fan from my first HC Viva thru to SRi Cavalier, but just feel the Monaro somehow benefits from the non-Vauxhall look (maybe shouldnt have said that)

What do you think ?

Dean.

prefer the look without badges, just gives a cleaner line on the bonnet especially, but other than that I wouldnt care whether the badge was holden, hsv or vauxhall to be honest.

Whatever suites you sir. Just don't put Holden badges on a HSV or vice versa nono
FWIW I've gradually changed over all the badges to Holden as IMHO thats what the car is and thats who built it! Only got that infernal steering wheel badge to go! ps anyone got any ideas? hehe

The vauxhall steering wheel badge comes off with some careful prying, its just a thin metal disc. I managed to source an HSV gel badge which fit perfectly in the hole with a little teasing to make it slightly domed. Forget who I got it off, someone off ebay I think in the end.

Rebadged the VXR as HSV GTO completely including the last two difficult bits the engine covers and the steering wheel badge

Debadge. I have mine in holden livery and still get asked everywhere I go what it is.

I know some people will say keep the VX badges but it means your living a lie. My CV8 is a Holden and when you take the VX badge off the front there's the holden Lion waiting to bee seen.

I personally would love to put Holden badge's on the car. Col however wants it to stay Vauxhall. I'll get my own way one day I always do hehe

umm probably vauxhall is a rare badge down under. I wonder if members owned corsas why they dont rebadge then opel, because its pointless?

im in the process of redoing mine in Holden badges.

getting there slowly. but having some issues finding scuff plate badges and wheel caps other than that it looks much better than VX badges.

plus adds a WTF factor smile

As a daft question as my knowledge on this side of things is beyond minimal, are VXR's classed as HSV's? (Im guessing that Holden Specialist Vehicles from memory!)

If memory serves me right you'll find your VIN plate will tell you it's really an HSV

www.jhp.com.au will sell you the sill plates & the wheel centre caps...can't remember the price now cos an Aussie mate got them for me whilst in Oz so no shipping, but I don't think it's that much anyway!
