I find the visability in my VXR8 pretty poor; especially changing lanes (I've had a few frights already :0( )

What options are there to help with this? I saw a reference to improved side mirrors recently - what are these, how much, where from, how fit etc?

Thanks for the help, Steve

Monaro already has one on the nearside. You just need to replace the offside one.

This is still not a very good solution as the 'B' pillar is quite substantial.

stigmundfreud in his posting www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=695476&f=69&h=27 'JUST GUAGING INTEREST IN SOME PARTS BEFORE I ADVERTISE' (sic) was offering "wide angle drivers mirror" what are (were) these?

for the Monaro what was organised was a group buy of US Pontiac GTO passenger mirror glass - it being the same as the wide angled mirror on the Monaro but because the GTO is a left hooker it fits on the driver side - what we effectively have now are 2 passenger mirrors fitted. Think thats clear enough! In theory you can probably do the same for the VXR8 and buy the US version of their passenger mirror.

Depends how you use the side mirrors.

I've always found I end up having the mirros set much with the view further out than most other people.
If you set the mirrors so that the start of the side mirror view continues on from the edge of the rear mirror then there's no blindspot. Other people like to look down the side of the car which does cause a huge blindspot big enough to hide a car.

Now if you can fix the A pillar blindspot that would be damn useful
