Obviously we kicked off the week in the UK at Shakeys for the rather rainy drag day, but in the week that followed the big ozzie lump was treated to the likes of the road to Applecross, Glencoe, the Isle of Skye etc...we decided to fire up the video camera and shoot some footage on these roads (mainly to show Mrs Baz's parents and gran back in Germany) - once I'm back in Aachen at the weekend I'll start ripping the footage from the cam and fire it up on the tube of you.

The road to Applecross is rather interesting in any car, never mind the big lady - but she took everything in her stride that we threw at her - all that was missing was 4x4 to go offroad biggrin

So pleased to hear you had a good time in Scotland!!. A group of us in 10 cars are heading up to do the lap of scotland over 5 days at the end of July (Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Applecross, Durness (right at the top of Scotland), Inverness, Braemar, Aviemore, Edinburgh).

Can't wait to see some photos/ vids from your trip biggrin

I'll try to sort out the pics of the 'ro at various locations tomorrow night after work (maybe Thursday due to Champions League final being on).

We did Durness/Kinlochbervie and all the way across to John O'Groats last summer smile

Decided to quickly process one of the pics before heading to bed - taken at the side of Loch Slapin near Carbost on the Isle of Skye...

Take this as the official open invitation to join us. A great mix of cars, but I'll have the only Holden/ HSV/ Vauxhall of the tour team. The details are widely published on PH if you log in to the forum that way. I think a group from the Scottish PH contingent might actually be joining us for a drive/ lunch sometime already somewhere.

Thread here...

Hi Baz, just wondering how many miles you've got on the clock now? How's the engine doing? Any rattles or niggles?

Mine has only got 27k on it now, as I've normally got a company car over here in Germany when near our HQ in Aachen, or a hirecar when further afield - it only gets out to play on weekends, holidays and the longer trips (i.e. back home to Scotland etc) smile

Car is running sweet as a nut, just replaced front pads before last weeks trip, no other problems really (touch wood)...

Great photo !! Never noticed how the petrol cap is so much higher on the later cars - seems to change the look of the rear quarter somehow ?. Weather certainly looked good for you !!

Finally had some time to pull the various runs from 2 weeks ago from the camera to the PC, they're in the process of uploading to YouTube now, so you can already find some of them on my profile and the last couple should be finished uploading shortly:-

Video from the likes of Glencoe, the Isle of Skye and the infamous Road to Applecross can now be found online smile

Not lowered no, that's our bags and camera gear which made the trip over from Germany that's weighing the back end down wink
