Had my Monaro VXR for 18Months or so, insurance is up soon. I am thinking of getting some mods, exhaust, suspension may be a supercharger.
Whilst I can get great quotes for the std car in the region of £350 (More Than) these companies will not touch a even mildly tuned car.
Are there any insurers out there that will give a low quote on the std car but not sting me too much when I mod it.
If I go with one of the cheap quotes now, I will need to cancel and go with another insurer and lose most of my premium.
Tried the usual suspects such as A plan and greenlight but they want £600 for the std car.
Any suggestions?

I use Admiral with mods declared and it was just under 500 quid last year but they don't insure the mods so if you write it off they'll only pay out on a standard car basis.

Try SkyInsurance - worked for me. Adrian Flux (the 'approved' sponsors on here) were not very competitive and Sky got my business. Play some off against each other too;)

Yup Sky are very good for modded motors. I'm with them too. Used to have my breathed on Mitsi 3000GT with them too and they were very reasonable. £369 iirc (for the 3000gt)

Admiral have changed their policy and do insure mods now and replace like for like (for a small premium)
