Hi all, had the vxr8 for about 3 weeks and picador asure me that it was serviced before i got the car. now its done 9500 miles and the service symbol has come up so does this mean a service is due or is it because the 10,000 miles is due soon not too sure ? if so do i need to clear this as its there when i start the car every time

It does not need one. The ECU just thinks miles is kilomtres. Have a look at the stickies.

i reckon they haven't re-set the service indicator when it was last done and if your car is every 12 months or 10k! miles the warning has come, should be just a reset. any service stamp in your book?

Just telling you that at 10,000 miles a service is due......it not smart enough to know you have had it done before the required time/mileage....can't reset a light which was not on when serviced.

Just reset itsmile

VXR8 are not the same as Monaro and the old KM/Mile problem

Hold down the "trip" button on steering wheel and turn ignition on until the display shows service reset ....

then push scroll button to reset.
