RIP M5

Traded it tonight for a very nice "individual" 320d sport. wait for it.... 52mpg on the way home!!! my wallet almost jumped out and did a jig it was so relieved after being hammered by the M5 as a daily driver. Already ordered a tuning box for it so roll on about 380lb/ft!
Will be getting the Ro out tomorrow for a drive mind just to remember what true performance is about.

Jesus!! I remember when I had an old diesel postman pat van as a runabout. I used to get Pd off passing fuel stations so I could fill up and grab a coffee! Damn thing never ran out of fuel! Not sure how many to the gallon it did but filling up was a major treat! With 'ol phat arse, my arteries are like concrete!

Its nothing special... 2 litre deisels normally arnt.

Will put a picture up later if I can be bothered to photo it.... or maybe just a picture of the OBC showing the average mpg over 50! that would be a first round here.

Yes the badge on the back of the Ro is damaged after some w$%^er tried to nick them the night before when I left it out! All repaired now though.

Not me mate, I was on the A34 at 160 leptons after some oik in a bmw thought he'd stay with me as I overtook.... dont think so!

Talking BMW - here you go Bonnie, st pictures though as the paints really bring, neighbours have already commented how unusual it is.

How on earth can you get 380 lbft out of a 2 litre diesel? A good NA petrol 2 litre is 150 lbft, so a NA diesel will be less, so it must run 30 psi of boost or something ridiculous. Maybe you mean 380NM but it is still very high.

nice mate my remapped Alfa 159 2.4jtdm went like a rocket with 250hp/350lbs. Trouble is I struggled to get more than 35mpg.

Driving slowly for fuel economy is boring, enjoy hydrocarbons while they last!

Be warned though, 160mph on a public road will earn you a spell in prison.
