Idea for Scottish Meet on Sunday June 28th

As you'll see from the link above the pistonheads folk are organising a day out on Sunday 28th June around some of the more interesting roads in the south west of Scotland and have folk coming along from all parts of the country so there are plenty opportunities for people to tag onto groups heading to the main meeting points. We've talked about an organised meet for some time on here - well here's one where we dont need to do any of the work, just all tag along for the ride and have a good day out. The folk that go along and organise these trips have one rule - misbehave/act like an idiot and you'll be politely told to get lost. There's a fair number of expensive lumps of metal going to be on the road and the last thing they want is either hassle from the police or some t
t pranging into them. I've signed up to go along and I think Ron (bigwheel) is planning to do the same. Be good for a few of the other owners up here to come along if they have the time.

edit: while I remember the hill climb championships at Doune this Sunday coming, I'm heading along with what used to be the Vauxhall Sports Car Club if anyone else fancies tagging along. Meeting at Stirling Services at 9am. 5 quid entry unless you're with a club when its a whole 2.50 - club spaces available for those interested lol - only condition is you've got to support the manta driver

think you're just getting a little too excited about the lap dancing for it to be healthy lol but yeah its not a bad shout - we could have our own drag event as part of the day there, just make sure we queue up together. See if we can beat any of these southern softies times that are running next week at Shakeys
I already been down Crail in the RO, and posted 14.6 which is no bad for a standard car CV8, which is running 19" wheels 2 lol. sounds like a plan, and u can beat a pig in latex sqealing round a pole lol

I'll try pm you the details in the morning if you havent already got them but the plan is definitely to go a run - think its around 180 miles round trip if you do the whole route. Suspect I'll be in the slower of the groups when we set off from the services, at least until I see how the pace goes never having been out with this group before. As the organiser said even at 50mph you'll be cooking your brakes on some of the roads and having been down there last year I can believe it.
