I saw it too, it was a very interesting program.

Did anybody notice Mays comments that the GTO was more of a muscle car with brute force over outright handling - had he forgotten the Top Gear test of the Monaro on Pendine sands?

it handles like a barge in comparission to a car that actually handles. I believe they said it had entertaining handling not actual handling

I'm sure when I watched this earlier there was a bit more of the GTO in it than there is now.

yes
But we don't mention that do we!
I'm convinced I can throw our Zafira around islands quicker and more controlled than the barge....!

thats because you can! Dont get me wrong, the ro holds well but handle it don't. Thats not to say it doesnt handle its just to say it does enough not to kill you dead

Drive the Monkfish Demo Monaro and then say they don't handle.
From the box they are just a bit soft.
A few choice mods and bingo.
They on;y thing you can't fix is that they are big and a bit heavy.

I drove it, lost a filling but it certainly did handle a lot better. I still think that even in that you would be pushing the envelope where a car with the correct set up from factory would take things in its stride
