Interesting comments in regard to the 6.2 super xxed VXR8 last night - any comments from those who know? Mr Clarkson seemed to be unhaapy with the supercharge noise??

After reading the article (link posted here sometime ago) he seemed disappointed because he couldn’t here the exhaust (“a sound like distant warfare” I think he said).

You know he was'nt impressed last night however the write up on Stu Harris Bathurst S (DESIRED) a month or so ago was'nt negative at all. Maybe a bit at the start but nothing like how he made it sound last night www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=700587&f=69&h=27

The LS3's supercharged do make a higher pitched whine than the LS2's, something to do with the heads I think.

Jeza is more of an entertainer now than a car jurno and let’s face it a good one at that, however it’s time he moved over and let the serious boys take over.

You have to admit the guys over on 5th Gear deliver an enviable guide to their cars. Just check out the “what ever car handbrake turns between the cones best,” demo. It was truly awe inspiring TV. I bet everybody was doing that the very next day on their dealership test drive!
