PROSECUTE HIM !!!!!. This cop should immediately be removed from the unit, "it was an accident", try getting away with that when they stop you for speeding, the officer responsible has absolutely no EXCUSES and if he had any decency would remove himself from the unit as he is unfit to keep a dog.

Whilst as an ex postie I wouldnt call myself a dog lover I would definately support a prosecution for cruelty.

Those poor dogs!! The copper involved should have been charged with cruelty straight away ffs and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

I just been outside with my Border collie n two jack's, having a water fight with them (Don't ask lol)and now they asleep with ALL the house windows open and fans all on. NOT for my comfort, but for theirs!! this is has put tears in my eyes....

I have written an honest reply to the police through the link you gave. We were horrified to read the story. Thanks for letting us know, i will be intrigued to read the reply. They should not be allowed to keep animals if they cannot look after them!

all i have to say is poor dogs. i think it would be a good idea to lock the office concerned in a car and see how well he feels after being in it for a whole hot day....... fairs fair..
