New VXR8 LS3 Prices
Discussion
How much can you actually get a new LS3 VXR8 for - on the road I'm on about. Lots of chat and figures flying about at the moment. Just curious as they seem a real bargain although I know they need a little tweeking to get going properly!
Also I dont suppose anyone knows of actual finance deals which are available.
Looking but dont want to chat direct as Im happy with the Ro, just curious.

I recon its bargain time as they need to shift em all by sept.
If you phoned round every dealer once a week and offered then 23k or less for whatever they had in stock eventually you`d get a tug.
Alternatively wait till all the post sept pre reg models hit the streets at sub 20k.

Only looking and I dont want to ruin what seems to be a perfect package in my own car. You also have the VXR Ro modification all sewn up with Harry but no one seems to have been really silly with a VXR8 yet - ie Big block and SC...
Obviously Id have to sell mine as well which I wouldnt look forward to since the markets poor! and it cost me alot.

brand new un-registered but needed to be signed for before the end of last month...includes road tax.
I ended up ordering a Bathuurst edition with the bi-modal exhaust(£1600) and 20" wheels(£1300) for under £29k...they even give you back the standard 19" wheels which is a bonus as I intend to get some semi slicks fitted to these and use it as a part time track day car.
Just got to wait until the end of this month to collect as apparently due to the increased demand in the last month Walkinshaw Performance are flat out......Its going to be a long month!

"HOLDEN Special Vehicles (HSV) has taken the unusual step of confi rming that a facelifted version of its E Series range will be released before the Bathurst 1000, to be held on October 8-11.
The move verifi es recent press reports that the HSV dealer network has been advised of the upgrades, which are claimed to include a major reduction in fuel consumption and “a number of Australian auto technology production firsts”. It also confi rms the release, by September, of Holden’s VE Commodore Series 2 range, upon which the revised HSV E Series 2 line-up will be based. HSV says the “multi-million-dollar”
upgrade will comprise major visual differentiation, a number of driver enhancements and new features, including at least five firsts for Australian production cars. Recent speculation by Fairfax media estimates fuel consumption reductions of five per cent or more, as well as a maximum power increase of up to 2.5 per cent. Currently, HSV’s 6.2-litre V8 produces peak figures of 317kW of power and 550Nm of torque, and returns average fuel economy of at least 14.4L/100km."
