Does anyone on here know if any company is doing scaled models of Holden/ HSV/ Vauxhall Monaro's? Only asking cos our lad collects cars and would be nice to get him one that resembles his fathers.

Mind you, sure trailermasher would nick it...

Auto Art I think were the one of the main ones to do Monaro's. They tend to turn up on 'fleabay' every once in a while like this:

Bit expensive!

You can't get vauxhall monaro's but you can get HSVs are they are rare and i mean very rare.

LS2 monaros are the HSV GTS's

ask this guy jason on ebay i know he had a few for sale lately.
http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/whiff67/ used to buy all my peter brock models from him.

Thank you AMD smile...

Correct me if I am wrong (Highly likely)

isn't the LS2 Monaro a 2 door and the HSV GTS a 4 door?

your right but when it came to models they just called it the HSV GTS.

these had the VXR kit minus the nostrils.only came in 2 colours green and yellow(yellow basicly the rarest model ever!)

then there was the HSV GTO which was the same but came in red and silver and had different wheels then there was the "normal" monaro.

no problem smile

The models went out of production a long time ago so finding them is abit hard to find and can be expensive, i do know jason (whiff67) had a few on ebay the other week but dunno if they sold or he might still have some.

If you do buy one from australia postage should be around 60-80aud and that should take about 2 weeks but ive usually had it in about a week but one store i did buy from charged me 100aud for postage once and i had it within 3 days. Also worth while talking to the seller to know your genuine instead of just going in and buying it as it is at the other side of the world and also worth looking on www.ebay.com.au

the only store you could get them from is gateway in aussieland but they are widely known for not being good as they keep models for years then when they become rare they sell them at jacked up prices but again they know people will pay it they also once took 3 weeks to get back to me on a postage question.

green

yellow

silver

red

if you want one with nostrils a company in america do a model of the Pontiac GTO which has the nostrils but because the car is a different mold (GMP instead of biante one) you cant simple fit the bonnet from the GTO onto a biante model, theres places in the uk which do sell the gmp one.

Just looked on ebay and prices and my own personal collection of cars would give me enough to buy a model monaro/hsv.. (I am a serious car nut for those who doubted me)

My Aston Martin Vantage model that cost me 97p in Tesco will get me £30!!!! yikes and my seven different Mustang's will net me the rest....

Can I bring myself to do it tho..... headache
