New Monaro Owner.

Had a 6.0 VXR for a week now.Been waiting since 2003! Had Omegas for the last 10 years. Some problems with the throttle body sensor and rear brakes already! Car is a 07 plate with 12K on it.No mods yet!!!!!! Sting red. Got 12 months Network Q so local dealer is looking into it. Usual story-Vauxhall will not speak to them because not a Monaro dealer. Think they might call The Fish. I m Roger too. Crap with computers. Have 2 wee girls,3year old is addicted to The Dukes Of Hazzard,so The Ro is making her smile lots-me too! Yeeeee Haa. Sorry. Still a bit excited. Roger.
Mr Monkfish,my sister lives just west of Tring,so I think I might be paying you a visit in due course. Have you got rear discs in stock? New throttle body in stock? I see from an older post that replacing the throttle body cured a similar problem to the one I have at present. Local dealer is very keen and I have told them to check out your website. Can you supply parts if it is a Network Q fix? Thanks. I feel an exhaust coming on!

Thanks Folks. Will ask my Mrs to put some photos on tonight-i'm too stupid for that. I live near Lockerbie,Scotland. Nearest Monaro dealer? Well-Fans,any suggestions?
welcome to the forum and good to see another Scottish owner. Was on way past your place last night on the way home from Wales. Nearest "Monaro" dealer is Arnold Clark in Glasgow (don't get near my car is all I'd say), then its Belmont in Aberdeen who seem to be a bit more on the ball than Belmont in Edinburgh were but cant comment from personal experience of the Aberdeen workshop.
I pretty much gave up on any hope of network q warranty after about 2 months of ownership, handed the car over to LSV and had some work done to make it work the way I wanted it which also invalidated the warranty. Since then I've sourced most of the bits myself from around the globe and the two tuning firms on here and either done the work myself or handed it to my local Vauxhall dealer who've done a lot of work for me on cars over the years. I've got most of the manuals/worksheets/instructions so take the parts and a copy of relevant paperwork in with me and tell them to "follow this".
Get all the niggles sorted out wherever you can and then go see RapidGB or Monkfish and get them to empty your wallet, run up your credit cards and leave you and your family pennyless but with the biggest grin on your face you'll ever see.
In the meantime if you fancy meeting up for a chat I'm off work for the next 3 weeks so can hop in the car and meet up say at Moffat which I thinks about half way for each of us. Or over on the Scottish section of pistonheads forums Moanro5.7 from on here is organising a run in August which I think at least a couple of us from up here will be on. This Sunday's out as I'm on the Vauxhall sports car club stand at "Fast and Tartified" show at Ingleston with all the cruise type folk in souped up clio's and Corsas with big exhausts.

The car was detailed by Barry of Autodetox before I picked it up for the 250mile journey home. Roger.

Check the throttlebody ECU cable, Ive seen someone else's loose which caused them problems. Just check its tight and clean in the contact department.
What he said...where it connects to the throttle is usually loose and throws up alsorts of problems...Bit of tape and bobs your uncle...no more chiming from the dash...Great car and great colour!!!!! Enjoy!!!!dunno if I can help with error codes being logged, dont know if my efilive v1 will download them from a ls2, I know it cant be used to program them but wonder if it could read them? one for ringram to answer. If it could read them I could pop down with it and hopefully get you a bit more info on the cause of the problem.
