Anyone used either of the following, I've got a good deal on either of the below and just wanted to know which where best to go for with the power im running I really need something grippy to get the power down.

Sizes will be 255/30/R20 and the following makes..

Michelin Pilot Sport or Dunlop Sport Maxx

Grips the most important thing but if anyone know what kind of millage they normally last for also would help.

Used Michelin Pilot Sport 2's on my old M3 which were great, fair bit of track and sprint work with them. But my perspective was from a handling point of view rather than straight line grip, held nicely when cornerning and let go progressively when on the limit. Pretty sure I got at least 15k miles off my rears. Obviously type of usage would effect how long they last and I had a meagre 320bhp back then wink

Chris. These are a good tyre but a bit on the hard side. I've given then a tough time with burnouts and they hold up well. That's not a good sign for grip on the track.

Yes that's what my above comment were. I think they are a good alrounder, but I'd choose something softer for the track. Mine gripped better with P zeros' but they don't last long.

I think by the sound of it, the PS's should be OK although I can't talk from experience.

The profile would be just too low for good grip on 20's. My 888's on 19's are 295 30's and that's a bit low imo.

The Michelin's have been good. Good wear, grip and overall all rounder.

Tyres are now on, they are so much wider than the old ones I think one side also rubs a little when going over large speed bumps but i'll see if Roger can adjust them a little smile

Get them nice a run in for the 8th biggrin
