while painting my hubs yesterday I realised what a mess the wheels are in, knew they werent great but with the well known half painted wheel issue and them now 5 years old they're in need of a refurb. Tempted to say sod it and buy a set of 19" as Walkinshaw seem to have a reasonable deal still on though I wish I'd bought them when they were 700 quid. So question is how much can I get for 6x 04 cv8 18" wheels with tyres, 3 tyres in decent nick, one a bit scuffed on inside edge but still legal, 2 with repaired punctures that I only keep as spares but the wheels are in good nick. Whats the going rate 50 quid a wheel, 100 quid a wheel?

Least she can do is let me buy a new set of wheels since she's scuppered my VXR8 plans lol

i would have thought around £100 with a good tyre as breakers are selling them for £75 with no tyre.

Have you thought about getting them reconditioned? we used JP Coatech in Carnoustie for the first time last month and I was impressed. It was her yaris wheels but I'm thinking about getting mine done in black chrome.
You just leave the car with them for a day or you can drop the wheels off.

thanks to mike and to mel for the recommendations on refurb companies, always useful to have someone thats used a company if possible.

spoke to a load of firms yesterday at the show, quite a few offer a drive in drive out service around me but it does worry me somewhat that they may rush the job a bit if I do that. Going to try Walkinshaw again today, see what they can offer. Also met a Monaro owner on one of the stands yesterday thats not on the forum yet and he'd had a local firm source and fit 20" wheels, without the need for any other modifications. Got a picture of them here, not necessarily thinking of going for the same but if they can get one set then maybe they can come up with others so I'll maybe call them as well.
